2974.0. "Error deleting housekeeping procedure..." by TAV02::CHAIM (Semper ubi Sub ubi .....) Wed Jul 07 1993 08:20

ALL-IN-1 V2.4

A customer has been experiencing difficulty deleting certain housekeeping
procedures which are waiting to run. He receives DCL errors regarding missing.

This only happens with some of the jobs (ex. reorganising system files). I have
checked and the jobs are indeed on the specified queue.

Thanks,

Cb.

    Chaim,

look sorry you know how to get official support. In the base note you
didn't ven give the example error messages and well v2.4 is getting a
bit old for many of us to remember.

2974.3Entry number field was EMPTY ...TAV02::CHAIMSemper ubi Sub ubi .....Thu Jul 15 1993 08:2115
I figured out the problem, though I don't know how the problem was caused:

The error I was receiving was a DDL "Invalid qualifier" error.

I finally took a look at the full record in the sm_generic_utility and realised
that for some unexplainable reason the entry number field was empty. The jobs
were queued in sys$batch with entry numbers.

If anyone has an explanation how the entry number became empty, I'd appreciate
it.

Thanks,

Cb.
