    I could only find two matches in STARS (one in the _v23 conference and
    one in the _v24 conference) so I felt that I should add a new note on
    this one in case anyone else runs across it....
    
    Well our bright and shiny new DEC NOTES v2.4 doc set arrived and I opened
    the install guide and looked up ALL-IN-1 in the index (to check
    they spelt it right) and it wasn't there so I read the manual and in
    section 3.3 headlined "ALL-IN-1 Information" it says and I quote.
    
    To link DEC Notes to the ALL-IN-1 Version 2.3 executable image, you
    must edit the file OA$BUILD:SITELINK.COM to include the DEC Notes
    ALL-IN-1 dispatch interface module. Starting on a seperate line in
    the SITELINK.COM file, insert the following two lines of text:
    
    $wo "!Include DEC Notes command dispatch"
    $wo "OA$BUILD:OANOTES.OBJ"
    
    Next, use BACKUP to copy the OANOTES.OBJ file supplied with the DEC
    Notes installation kit into the directory OA$BUILD: Finally, follow
    the instructions in the ALL-IN-1 System Manager's Guide to relink
    ALL-IN-1.
    
    Sigh! I know dinosaurs are all the rage and that but ALL-IN-1 v2.3,
    SITELINK.COM?? OA$BUILD???
    
    Anyone in IOSG or elsewhere know about this one - SPR forms being filled 
    in and sent to DEC Notes Engineering. 
    
    Can't wait to see the Datatrieve v6.1 book (the v6.0 book was a corker)

    Oh I forgot to mention the trick question is what is wrong with the

    Presumably the answer to your trick question is either:
    
    a) That V2.3 is no longer supported.
    
    b) The OANOTES.OBJ file was never in the base kit, it came with either
       an ASSET or DEC Notes itself (I can't remember which).
    
    
    But I suppose you could read the section in the book as:
    
      "If you're still running the very old (jurassic??) version of ALL-IN-1
      called V2.3, then since this precedes the wonderful GPC subsyetm, the
      only way to integrate DEC Notes with ALL-IN-1 is to use this horrible
      sequence of instructions..."

    Unless someone else gets the right answer before the end of the day
    you get the prize but your answer wasn't exactly the one I was
    looking for - you're allowed a second guess.
    
    (OANOTES appears to be in one of the DEC Notes savesets btw - I presume

    No. Look at the section as a whole in light to what you have to do
    to get ALL-IN-1 v3.0 and NOTES to work together.

    Don't you have to manually modify the NOTES version ident so that IOS
    recognises and can successfully link aginst it ??

    OK the winning answer was that the whole section is a pile of
    old tosh!
    
    You don't have to put anything in any SITELINKxx.COM - you just
    relink ALL-IN-1 and some magic code in A1LINK see NOTES out there
    and links it all in happily and directly as it has done since oh v2.4
    of ALL-IN-1 shipped in late jurassic period.

    Ah yes, but as I said before, if you read the whole thing as *ONLY*
