Hi there,
I have a strange distribution list on a ALL-IN-1 V2.4 system.
User keyed in MPS: at the TO: prompt and the system translated it
to System Distribution List.
ie.
TO: System Distribution List ( MPS: )
The user sent this message out but one in the distribution list
received the message.
I did a SH on the message in the OUTBOX folder and found that the
addressees are wrong,
Addressees :
TO: System Distribution List ( MPS: )
and hence no one received the message.
Should the addressees list contains the username written to the
distribution list ?
What could have happened ? The user resend the message one more
time and this time there wasn't a problem - addresses were listed
correctly.
Please advise.

Just to clarify, was both cases done interactively and from the same
option?
Was the user re-editing the message in the first case? Was their
process stopped for any reason?

CT,
As Tim said this is/was a known problem. It may have been fixed in a
v2.4 patch but it's definitely fixed in v3.0 - by the way how many
addressees are in the list? (approx)

Hi there,
I have checked in STARS, and found that the problem is due to ZAP, the idle
process killer, which logged out the user while in editing mode. The
article is:
Distribution List Not Expanding When Message Re-edited
I'll inform users of this limitation.
