2822.0. "ALL-IN-1 Management Class" by MELKOR::RUDDY (Home is where overhead is) Tue Jun 08 1993 07:33

    Help ...

I'm teaching and ALL-IN-1 V3.0 Management Course this week in Santa
Clara. I've encountered a few problems that I need help on. I've
search the Notes for the answerse but haven't found any.

    1.	From the Managers DRM menu option. I have created a Drawer, I want
to make that drawer Advanced Shared. It will only allow me to make it
Regular shared, I have to MDT to make it Advanced Shared. Am I going
batty, or is Documentation not in sync with actual?

    2.	Some of my user's have heard rumor(s)about problems with Advanced
    Shared Documents, are they true?

The user creates a drawer from the user's DRM, making it Advanced
Shared. They set up Drawer Access and then they set up Document
Access. If they create a document and then modify the document's
access, they are claiming that the edited documents access now becomes
the default Document access. I have tried to recreate their situation
    and cannot.

    Thanks

    Hi,

This is a known problem that has been fixed for the PFR. It works OK
from the user's DRM menu option.

Here is the one error I know of:

Giving a user all Drawer Access privileges and Read only for New Documents
results in an error when that user deletes a document in that drawer and
after that tries to empty the wastebasket. The DOCDB entry is removed, but
the VMS-file still exists, while an error message is displayed upon EW. See
Note 1442.

Again, this has been fixed for the PFR.

    Nor can I!
