Hi A customer has a running ALL-IN-1 V2.4 on a Cluster. ALL-IN-1 is running on one node only. My idea for upgrading is, to install new ALL-IN-1 V3.0 on another node of this cluster and when all applications are running fine, to transfer all users to the new node. (The customer doesen't care because of the mails) But I am a little scared of some images like SYS$COMMON:[SYSEXE]OA$FORMATTER.EXE. Do they work togehter in both versions of ALL-IN-1. As I see in the coexistant ALL-IN-1 everything is ok. Do you recommend this step? Ursi

The co-existent system makes this work because it gives the images like OA$FORMATTER, different names. It is not simple to do this for an ordinary V3.0 system and an existing V2.4 system unless you are very careful, and have tried this out before. There are lots of earlier notes in this conference discussing this sort of idea. Graham |
