2779.0. "Conversion again (RTF,WPSPLUS)" by TARUGO::LIDIA (Spain) Mon May 31 1993 15:27

	Hi all,

	Our customer has:

	DECMAILWORKS for VMS v1.1-C
	DECMAILWORKS for WINDOWS v1.1
	ALL-IN-1 V3.0
	CDA Converter Library v2.0

	Then, in this installation exists PC users and VT users. The PC
	users are using MS-WINWORD v2.0 like word processor and the VT users
	are using WPSPLUS.

	They cannot work together if it isn't possible the conversion
	WPS<--->RTF when they send messages.

	Conversion WPSPLUS--->RTF is O.K because DECMAILWORKS
	manages incoming conversions.

	But, my problem is the opposite conversion: RTF--->WPSPLUS. I've
	followed the steps:

	1.-Modifying OAET.MAR, adding an entry for RTF (topics 1036.*)

	2.-Create a document from ALL-IN-1 including a RTF file.

	3.-I change (manually) the filename (*.RTF) and the DSAB (FOREING)
	   and I can read the document.

	4.-I send a message with a RTF attachment from DECMAILWORKS

	   When I try to read the attachment, I can read:

		"Foreign document cannot be displayed"

	   This is beacause the attachment is a *.FGN file and it cannot
	   be recognized by the CDATYPES in OAET.

	I've seen another explanations in this conference about the Mailbus
	Convertion Manager, but I think this have to work using CDA
	Converter Library v2.0 and the customer hasn't to buy another kit.
	If not, what is the CDA integration in ALL-IN-1?

	Anybody knows the fix for this problem? Anybody knows how can
	the .FGN extension be changed by .RTF extension in the attachments?

    	I think this is a big problem for a lot of our customers.

	Thanks in advance for your prompt reply,
