2764.0. "LPS20 and LPS40 Printer types" by ULYSSE::DAVID (Guy David @VBE) Thu May 27 1993 17:13
Hello,
I've a question about LPS20 and LPS40 printer types, in ALL-IN-1 v3.0-1.
These printer types are defined, by default, with a "Printer device" set
to "LN03" and valid "Data types validation" set to "ANSI, ASCII, REGIS,
POSTSCRIPT, TEK4014".
So you can define the following combination, which seems not to work :
Printer device = LN03
Data type = POSTSCRIPT
Is there a reason for the POSTSCRIPT data type to be used with LPS20 or
LPS40 Printer Types ?
If not, we can remove it from the validation field to prevent users
trying it.
Thanks,
Guy.

| As you have 'Printer device = LN03' then POSTSCRIPT would not be a valid
Data type. REGIS and TEK4014 are probably not valid either, which leaves
only ANSI and ASCII as valid. Since these are equivalent you could set the
field as non changeable with a fixed value of ANSI.
