2711.2 | Autoforward is the way....? | WOTVAX::DORANA | Confuse-a-cat Ltd | Sat May 15 1993 14:49 | 13 |
| Andrew - or anyone...
Using Autoforward appears to do what I want anyway... I have set an
autoforward on the IOS account to be DORANA@AM. As expected, this sends
all my mail to my TeamLinks account.
Rather unexpectedly, TM messages still go to my IOS account (as I'd
noticed do SUBSCRIBERS: messages...). This as I've said is essentially
what I was after - but I would like to know why this happens?
Cheers,
Andy

2711.3 | Why unexpectedly? | AIMTEC::WICKS_A | Alphatraz - Coming Summer 93 | Sun May 16 1993 19:18 | 20 |
| ANDY,
This is the way auto-forward has worked (was designed) since ALL-IN-1
v2.0 and it has been discussed oh i'd say at least 1,000 times in this
notes file.
SUBSCRIBERS: was discussed only last week - it delivers mail only
to your physically located local ALL-IN-1 system.
TM event notices aren't redirected either since otherwise the poor old
BLISS code would be confused as to why the person who replied to the
event wasn't the person who it invited!
One final bit of advice include the node-name in your autoforward
address i.e DORANA@AM@AMnode as it makes replies and various other
things work a lot better.
Regards,
Andrew.D.Wicks (who else?)
