When doing a DUMP/REC/OUT=x.txt of PARTITION.DAT, the result appears to show 
that there is an undocumented field in the data-set.  This field appears to
be the translation of the logical in the DIRECTORY field.

Can anyone confirm this?

When/how does this field get updated?

	Mario, I've sent you mail ... Could be you're looking at the internal pointer to the DOCDB.DAT. This is used as a quick lookup to the drawer and is updated when the information is no longer valid - DOCDB $CONVERTed etc. Cheers, Iain.
