    A customer has just upgrade from ALL-IN-1 2.3 to 3.0 and WordPerfect
    5.0 to 5.1.  And could not start the oa formatter, keeping getting
    this message when @OA$FORMATTER_START
    
    OA-W-SNDJBC-OPERR, SEND-JBC operation error

    Hi Banquo,
    
    I guess that WordPerfect was deintstalled before the upgrade to 3.0,
    than the upgrade took place.  What I need is for you to do a show
    que/dev/full oa$formatter and post the information here.
    
    Can you also do an analyze/image/interactive sys$system:oa$formatter.exe
    and make sure you have image file identification: "ALL-IN-1 V3.0-1",
    well do this and make sure you have the correct image.
    
    What version of OpenVMS do you have installed ?

See if it helps, if you deintegrate WordPerfect queues before linking ALL-IN-1. 
WordPerfect has a command procedure for this.

Make sure that SMBSRVSHR is NOT defined by WordPerfect when you run @A1LNKDRV:
$ show logical SMBSRVSHR /table=*

After the link you should copy the new OA$FORMATTER.EXE to SYS$SYSTEM.
Stop and delete the old OA$FORMATTER queue, and start a new formatter:
$ @OA$FORMATTER_START OA$

When OA$FORMATTER is running, you can integrate the WordPerfect queues again.
