2640.0. "V2.3 PAT patch *kit*." by KAOT01::M_MORIN (Le diable est aux vaches!) Thu Apr 29 1993 19:58

A customer called today asking to get a copy of the *kit* that contains all
the fixed code for Account Transfers in V2.3, taken from V2.4 and re-packaged
to give to V2.3 customers. They've heard from their service rep that this
exists. The service rep didn't have any more details but says he remembers
this thing being available in past.

I've looked through all the K50% and K60% (just in case) kits but can't find
anything remotely related to this patch *kit*.

Can anyone shed some light on this?

    mario,

I've never heard of this either but then if it was a special CSP
or something then the CSC would be the last to know anyway.

Is this just a case of the service rep "opening mouth and not engaging
brain?" - i'd have him fed to the moose.

    regards,

    Hi,

It's hard to get K50* pataches for 2.3 installations. Putting on my
thinking had I thought that it might be worth while looking in
    <disk>:[ALLIN1.SOURCES.A1PATCH$JOURNALS] on 2.4 or 3.0 systems.

From what I can remember that the save set's were not deleted when the
upgrade or bug fixes were performed. In other words if your customer
requires a 2.3 fix look on a 2.4 or 3.0 system in the above directory
and get the relevent save set, providing they upgraded to thoses
    patches. Also the file
    <disk>:[ALLIN1.SOURCES.A1PATCH$JOURNALS]A1PATCH$CONFIGURATION.DAT, will
contain the history of the patches applied to the system.

Am I correct in stating what I have, I feel quite confident that I am
    but I like getting shot :*) !!!!

    Regards,

    Sunil
