ALL-IN-1 IOS 3.0-1. Customer has created his own application area. When he accesses forms in this area, he gets the following errors after some time ; %oa-i-lnf, error accessing form library $1$dua6:[mdg.site.dev_mdg_akten]develop.flb -FDV-E-ICH, invalid channel number specified %oa-i-lnf, error accessing form library $1$dua6:[mdg.site.dev_mdg_akten]develop.flb -FDV-E-ICH, invalid channel number specified %oa-i-lastline, form not found error occurred during the DO mode script test Any ideas ? Can the forms in $1$dua6:[mdg.site.dev_mdg_akten]develop.flb be called
interactively? i.e. select a form (any form) and type <FORM xxxxx
What happens?

Tony, Thanks for the very quick reply. Yes, the forms can be called interactively. When the users quits ALL-IN-1 after such an error and does the TE - test element again, it works ! The forms can be called several times until the error appears, then it's finished. A collegue thought that a dump_cache might help. What do you think ? Veerle | |||||

When you've got the error, do a
<oa$fbt_list_lib
and see how many libraries are open. It sounds to me as though you're
running out of channels to open forms libraries on.

Yes, it would be interesting to find out just how many form libraries
you have open.
GET OA$FORM_SEARCH_ORDER
will also return the names of the libraries, but OA$FBT_LIST_LIBTREE
will give channel numbers as well.

I'll try some further guesses: Certainly try a <DUMP_CACHE - it will never do any harm (except to slow things down slightly) and might resolve the problem. Do you see the same library open more than once in the output from <oa$fbt_list_lib ? This should never happen; if it does, there may be a bug. Is there any code linked into the ALL-IN-1 image (code level intergation)? Maybe this code is using channels and not giving them back. Increasing the number of channels available might only make the problem take longer to appear - you could try the process FILLM quota (increase in AUTHORIZE). I'm not sure exactly what limits the number of channels FMS can use for forms libraries. Sorry if this is not of much help; Dave. | |||||
