2590.0. "Inbox Index Most Recent Date?" by MUTTON::LAMB (Peter Lamb - GSG Santa Clara) Mon Apr 19 1993 17:21

Hi,

Two other users on my system have some how managed
to set their Inbox Index such that it displays
the newest messages first - could someone please
explain how this is done?

Note: I searced for Index & Mail and wasn't able
to find the correct note (but I'm sure it has been
discussed before).

Thanks and regards,

Peter Lamb

2590.1Don't think you can do this per user...IOSG::PYEGraham - ALL-IN-1 Sorcerer's ApprenticeMon Apr 19 1993 19:097
    You can't do this for individual users, and it's a change to a MACRO
    module and a relink to do it system wide.

    The only way it could happen would be if they were in the wrong
    language, so that we didn't think the drawer was the INBOX.

2590.2check the filecab and named dataAIMTEC::BUTLER_TMon Apr 19 1993 19:2017
    Peter,

    Are there any old customizations around that are not aware of drawers
    (if this is v3.0?)?

    You might want to check the named data in the em$index$***** forms
    (options,inbox, and read).

    You may want to look through their docdb's and check docnum, refnum,
    and fixer.

    If this is 2.4 has a transfer user been done on these users. See note
    2107 in the ALL-IN-1 V2.4 conference.

    The "two other users" might have private versions of the EM$INDEX$INBOX
    form in their USER.FLB forms libraries. Either they or some programmer
    friend could have modified the Named Data in the form to sort the Inbox
    in reverse order.
