| Hi,
Firstly I must point out that the product's trademark is ALL-IN-1 and
not "ALLIN1", please spell it correctly. Also what version of ALL-IN-1
IOS do you have installed ? To find out from the ALL-IN-1 managers
account type <version, really any priv. ALL-IN-1 account would do.

Please explain clearly what are you trying to do ? Are you trying to
delete the user profile only or the account ? The DP option will
remove/delete the users ALL-IN-1 profile entry but leave the OpenVMS
account. DU will delete the ALL-IN-1 profile and the OpenVMS account.

I guess from this problem you may have ALL-IN-1 2.4 installed. Set
default to the user ALL-IN-1 sub-directory and see if NICKNAMES.DAT
exists, if not this is the cause of the problem. Create one by doing a
create/fdl=oa$lib:nicknames nicknames.dat.

I know I have come across this somewhere but I just can't rember (sorry
for the Ronnie Regan impression ;0) ). Have you tried stars ?

2587.2 | try an AUTOGEN | WOTVAX::DORANA | Confuse-a-cat Ltd | Mon Apr 19 1993 12:45 | 16 |
| The FCVR problem could be related to the SYSGEN parameter GBLPAGES
being too low.
Try doing an INSTALL LIST /GLOB/SUM.
If you have approaching zero free pages, a reboot is required (either
with autogen, or after changing MODPARAMS.DAT) in order to fix the
problem.
As I'm ill in bed at the moment I can't explain further - I'm sure
someone else can if I'm on the right lines. Also, using MODPARAMS.DAT,
and changing SYSGEN parameters is documented in the VMS doc set...
Cheers,
Andy

Thanks SETHI and DORANA,
a) The site is running ALL-IN-1 V2.3. There is no option "DU" or "DP"
to delete user profile in allin1. I only want to delete user
profile in profile.dat but keep the VMS account. Would you have
any suggestion ?
c) I check that the free value of global pages is 20000, the size of
oa$daf_e.dat is 220000. Would you tell me what size of global pages
that is satisfied to do the system file conversion ?

2587.4 | Try SM MMF | BUSHIE::SETHI | Ah (-: an upside down smile from Oz | Tue Apr 20 1993 05:56 | 13 |
| Hi Mascot,
I have not seen a version 2.3 system for ages now. From what I can
remember, from the SM menu there is/should be an option MMF (Manage
Master Files), you maybe able to delete the user's profile from that
sub-system.
That's the best I can do regarding deleting a users profile, I just
can't remember the menu options for 2.3.

Sunil

Seems fine. One other thing you might check is sysgen
paramater GBLPAGFIL . This one is related to global buffering.
Raising it to 5000 might help.

| Hi Mascot,
From the ALL-IN-1 Manager's account, enter
<FORM PROFIL
and press the RETURN key. You will be presented with an entry from and
all you need to do is enter the LASTNAME.FIRSTNAME of the account whose
profile entry you want to delete, press the RETURN key again, then make
your choice selection (Add, Change, COpy, Delete, Inquire). Press the
EXIT SCREEN key (keypad 0) to exit off of the form, and you're done.
