Hello, I have a problem (system wide) and reproducible to old or new documents. Users cannot do an RV or SV. they're getting an error "You cannot convert to ASCII,EDT TO WPSPLUS". Same thing happens with ALLIN1/NOCUSTOM. Editor is set to WPSPLUS. ALL-IN-1 V3.0. The trace does not help much, it just shows where the conversion breaks. Thanks, ricardo

What are the FORMAT master entries for 'ASCII,EDT' and 'WPSPLUS'? 'ASCII,EDT' must be a customer defined entry because we don't ship the product with such an entry. Is there are entry in the 'Document Conversions' system file which disallows conversions from 'ASCII,EDT' to 'WPSPLUS'? Richard

If the error message is exactly as you've typed it (with the comma in "ASCII,EDT"), the you have an error in the Format master file. Entries in that master file tell ALL-IN-1 how to relate file types (.EXTns) to the contents of files. RV looks up the fiel type of the file you're trying to import -- say it's .TXT - and finds the first entry in FORMAT.DAT which has that file type. In your case it seems to be finding an entry ASCII,EDT whereas the entry should be ASCII EDT (space instead of comma). You can check the file by typing FORMAT from a privileged ALL-IN-1 account, as I expect you know. Hope this helps, Dave.
