I have a customer that is upgading ALL-IN-1 V3.0. When the installation attempts to upgrade the wpl-DDIF convertor he gets the following message: %VMSINSTAL-E-BADSPEC, file spec DX_Cour.Doc_Style cannot be parsed. The installation fails. I check the CDA$Library directory and the file DX_Cour.Doc_style is present. Any ideas?

The installation tells VMSINSTAL to provide the file DX_COUR.DOC_STYLE to OA$LIB and CDA$LIBRARY. The file comes from saveset A1030.C. You might check that: 1) The CDA$LIBRARY logical is correctly defined, points to a directory that exists, is on a disc that isn't fuil, and has diskquota for the account you did the install from and/or ALLIN1 (sic) and that the directory protections allow file creation. 2) The saveset and its contents, particularly this file are OK. Try extracting the file with $BACKUP and have a "look" at it. Graham |
