2477.0. "AX/DX document transfer" by EVOAI2::DAN_M (Maya DAN) Fri Mar 26 1993 09:13

    I realize that this conference doesn't support DECmates, but do you
    know anything about the serial line protocols for document transfers?

	One of our partners asks about AX/DX document transfer modes on a
        DECmate(!):

"I would like to emulate the AX/DX protocols in order to move documents
between a DECmate II, a MAC and a PC through their COM ports. Is there
any documentation on what the transfer protocol looks like? (ie. line
termination characters, block sizes, etc.). Any information you could
provide would be great.

Thank you in advance,

David Gorin"

any suggestion will be very appreciated
thanks
Maya

There is a book called the 'DECmate Word Processing Technical Notebook'
(AA-J356B-TK) which describes the DX/AX Line Protocal and Operation.

The book was first printed in April 1983. I do not know if it is still
available or in print.

2477.2Yes, there is some docKETJE::CAPPELLEMANSThe Dark side of the \FORCEFri Mar 26 1993 09:3310
There is a Manual called DIGITAL Document transmission (DX) Technical Notebook.
The only reference I find on this manual is:
EJ29141-86 .
The SPD number is: 26.36.03

I think there is also an on-line copy somewhere Maybe are there pointers to it
in the DX Notes conference wich was on ABACUS::DECDX

Best regards
Pierre
