2475.0. "Option to receive same msg in ALL-IN-1 & VMSMAIL?" by MCIS2::BOISVERT () Thu Mar 25 1993 15:02

We have a user who recently moved from one system to another. She
agreed to move to this other system only because she was told she would
    have the same exact features.

The user is insisting that a feature was set whereby she would receive
her A1 mail in BOTH her A1 acct and her VMS acct. Is this possible???
We have asked many people and I have also called the Corp Hotline. No
one has heard of this, yet she is adamant about it. As of this time,
we have not been able to contact the system mgr of her old system.

Well, from a MAIL point of view, NO.

But maybe APA might help you, you could set some RULES that when a mail comes
in, you forward it to VMSMAIL.

Best Regards
Pierre

    Re .1

I thought about APA, but reluctantly (since I work on it!) I didn't
think it would work, since you'd need to do something with
Autoforwards, so that anything you received in VMSMail first went also
to ALL-IN-1. If APA was forwarding ALL-IN-1 mail back to VMSMail, then
it might go into a loop. Perhaps you could write a clever rule to
    stop this.

I haven't quite worked this out, but perhaps you could do something
with the AutoCopySelf flags in VMSMail? Or a special mail destination
in ALL-IN-1 that would deliver the message with VMSMail as if the
MAIDES was VMSMAIL, but then also deliver it into the ALL-IN-1 file
    cabinet.

One thing is for sure, it's not a standard feature I've ever heard of!
