Hello, a customer would like to make some System Distribution Lists NOT accessible to all users. The reason of the above wish is that not all users should be able to send messages to all company employs (at least not in a so easy way!). Is it there any standard way to limit access to system distribution lists in ALL-IN-1 v3.0? Many thanks in advance for your advices. Augusto

The actual distribution lists in OA$SYSTEM_LISTS: could be protected against acccess with suitable ACLs. Although you have to *allow* access to some, rather than *preventing* access to others! Note that this wouldn't prevent people actually selecting them, it would only (I think) prevent them using them, and would probably result in a horrible error message. You can find the name of the file by looking the SDL up in the profile, and then the file name is in one of the address fields. It might be better to not have these DLs as System lists, but private ones, and think of some way of keeping them in step for the people who use them. Perhaps you could use a shared drawer in V3.0 for this. Graham |
