G'day Up there and every where,
A customer has ALL-IN-1 installed and has a problem sending mail to
SUBSCRIBERS:, an error message is displayed:

The full trace/debug can be found on RIPPER::USER$TSC:[SETHI]Q32035.LOG;1.
One thing to note is that invoking ALL-IN-1 with /nocustom the customer
still get's the problem. The customer has upgraded to 3.0 from 2.4.
The customer assures me that he had solved all conflicts and has done
thing by the book, it's hard to believe maybe pigs really do fly ;-}.
Any ideas on this one would be appriciated.
Regards,
Sunil

| Sunil,
Oh **** STARS just died on me but I know there's articles on this.
MAIL-LIST is the 'pretend' Mail Destination field for Distribution
Lists and is defined as such for some top-secret I can't remember right
at the moment hack to the Sender/Fetcher code. There isn't such a file
as MAIl-LIST.COM
I can't recall how it affect the SUBSCRIBERS: case - unless on this
system SUBSCRIBERS: isn't the real special address that God or at
least the mail developer intended but two things you can do are:
1) loop through the profile looking for a user with a MAIDES field
of MAIL-LIST and when you locate then take them out and have them
shot (:==:)
2) check the system distribution lists (these are profile entries)
and make sure that none of them think they are real users
(i don't think you can have distribution list shot - shredding may
be an alternative though)

list created on this system.

2463.3 | The user created a SUBSCRIBERS: dl | BUSHIE::SETHI | Man from Downunder | Thu Mar 25 1993 03:29 | 20 |
| Hi Andrew and Dave,
The problem was caused by the user creating a SUBSCRIBERS: distribution
list in the ALL-IN-1 managers account. What gave the show away was I
asked the system mangler :-), to login as a unprivileged user and
trying sending to SUBSCRIBERS: and it worked.
>Even I know this one!
Who's a clever boyo :-). Tom Jones is visting Australia currently and
so I am doing my Welsh impressions currently ;-} !!!! I miss the Welsh
accent.
>**** STARS just died on me but I know there's articles on this.
Looked in stars couldn't find it unless I missed it that's possible.
Thanks for all your help,
Sunil
