2449.0. "Separate (Mail) context?" by CUSTOM::HULL (Digital Services Delivery - Motown) Mon Mar 22 1993 16:55
I have an application that is based on the MAIL subsystem. All the current
documents are actually mail messages, and as such use calls like MAIL READ,
MAIL PRINT, etc. The msgs are in reality a data-file, but that's
irrelevant here.
I would like the subsystem (which has its own menu, etc) to remember which
document it last worked on, within the context of that subsystem. I don't
want it picking up the EM context, or vice versa. And I need it to always
be in the OA$MAIL_DRAWER when it is invoked.
I tried to just copy the EM /PRE and EM_INIT code, but then there's no
differentiation between the two. I thought that since WP is a good model
with different stored docs, it would also work, but it never keeps the
context of OA$CURMES correct, since its not mail.
Any way to make this application behave the way we want using MAIL actions,
but keeping separate context across sessions, etc?
