We just upgraded my customer system from 2.4 to 3.0 the past two days. I had been developing the customizations on a co-existant V3 system. For some reason the print attribute files in [ALLIN1.PRINT] on the production side didn't appear to get updated, compared to all the newer files in the co-ex system. For now I just copied all the newer PRA/PRC files into the production area as a higher version, but on some print types, like using TERMINAL, I'm getting the following error: Error occurred during operation : PRINT_ATTRIBUTE_FILE_ERROR No further detail is given. ??? How/what do I track down to fix all this? I have narrowed it down to some interaction with the customized printing here - when I tried it with /NOCUST a TERMINAL print worked just fine. Still, any hints would be appreciated. -Al

Al, You know I wouldn't normally go anywhere near a printer table but as it's you I did a search in STARS and came up with an article entitled Printer Tables And Upgrade Installation To V3.0 which might help. There's lots of words in it that I don't understand but here are two apparently relevant extracts (:==:) Regards, Andrew.D.Wicks When a V2.3 or V2.4 ALL-IN-1 system is upgraded to V3.0, all printer tables which are supplied as standard with ALL-IN-1 will be provided in the Digital area (KOA$PRINT_SHARE which was KOA$PRINT). This will replace/override any customizations that you may have made to these tables in previous versions of ALL-IN-1. The printer tables provided (and required) with ALL-IN-1 V3.0 are in a WPS-PLUS V4 format. Any non-standard printer tables which you created in previous versions of ALL-IN-1 (possibly to support non-Digital printers) will not be affected by the upgrade installation of ALL-IN-1. If they are not in the required format, you will have to convert them using the new WP/CM PT CO option before they can be used in ALL-IN-1 Version 3.0. | |||||

If Print to TERMINAL works differently when running /CUST and /NOCUST check which WPS-PLUS Printer Tables are being used. You will probably find that the WPS-PLUS Printer Tables being used with /CUST has not be converted to the WPS-PLUS V4 format, or if it has been converted it needs further changes to make it work with the WPS-PLUS V4 formatter.
