2427.0. "Maintenance of Time Management Data Files" by RESTRT::LATIMER (Eastern States Product Support) Wed Mar 17 1993 17:01

I'm sure this has come up before, because I vaguely remember reading about
it somewhere....is there anyway to do file maintenance to clean up the
Time Management data files? I seem to remember way back in V1 that there
was an option to purge your own calendar of events taking place before a
date you specified. I know that this PURGE option is long gone, but is there
any other feasible method available today? The only thing I can think of is
to create record definitions of the files using DATATRIEVE and delete
through there; does anyone have a better idea?

Thanks,

Nancy

    Nancy,

Search for notes by the CSC's Dead Product Consultant Dave Z
particularly note 576 but there are others as he has a number of tools
    available for TM.

I believe his price is quite reasonable (:==:)

2427.2This sounds like a job for the DPC guyAIMTEC::ZANIEWSKI_DWhy would CSC specialists need training?Wed Mar 17 1993 18:0713
        Hi Nancy,

As my workmate indicated, anything can be done for a price. If
you or your customer can put together a specification indicating
exactly what is required, the CSC can review it, decided what can
they could accomplish in the indicated time and what the total
        cost would be.

It's on my list of action items to get such an announcement into
STARS regarding time management. Maybe today, as I'm writing
        other STARS articles....

2427.3You may hear from me yetRESTRT::LATIMEREastern States Product SupportWed Mar 17 1993 19:4914
Well, I am going onsite myself to do consulting for a variety of
ALL-IN-1 - related items, this being one of them. So I was hoping for
some ideas in advance. I looked through the old notesfiles and saw
that someone else had this issue about 3 years ago and had been
planning on writing a utiity. But from the looks of things, nothing is
    readily available even now.

This item is of a lower priority in terms of the things they need done,
so based on how much time we have, I may just bounce this one to you
    guys.

    Thanks,

    Nancy
