2394.0. "Account Template for V 2.3 version." by BBIV02::NITIN () Thu Mar 11 1993 12:37

    I have a problem about Account Template. We have only one template
    and my predecessor has created it. I am not able to access this.

    I have ALL-IN-1 V2.3.

    I gave command DTC in MUA in ADM, but got error saying invalid command.

    Also, is it possible to define more than one disk in a template ?

    The actual problem started when after creating a user's allin1 account,
    for space reason, I modified sysuaf.dat to shift the account to
    another disk. While logging into allin1, he got error

       NOREENTER - you are already using allin1 - cannot restart

    I tried to use MAA option, but this also failed, as VMS account was
    already modified.

    Nitin.

Hello Nitin,

>>> I gave command DTC in MUA in ADM, but got error saying invalid command.
====
I don't have a V2.3 system available, but as far as I can recall, DTC has never
been available from ADM. You have to have Manager privilege, and go via MGT DTC.
This allows you to create as many templates as you like.

>>> Also, is it possible to define more than one disk in a template ?
====
In V2.4 you can define up to four, and the least full one is chosen at account
creation. Not sure about V2.3 (I think it was the same).

>>> I modified sysuaf.dat to shift the account to another disk.
>>> ...I tried to use MAA option, but this also failed, as VMS account was
>>> already modified.
====
Modifying the sysuaf alone is not enough. Can you try to restore the situation,
and try MAA again? The "already using ALL-IN-1" is caused by another process
that you have running the image. stop the process or do $allin/reenter.
Cheers
