2366.1 | What did the CART Report say? | IOSG::PYE | Graham - ALL-IN-1 Sorcerer's Apprentice | Fri Mar 05 1993 15:44 | 15 |
| The error about delete-w-searchfail is well documented, and can be
ignored. I expect the other error is because you are still using an old
version of a script somewhere.
It's normal for all .FLBs to require recompilation after an upgrade, we
can't find them all to do this automatically.
Did you run the CART before the upgrade?
It would almost certainly have told you that you had a customised
version of the DEFAUL form, which is still in use after the upgrade,
and is calling the old version of the SM form, which isn't there
anymore.

2366.7 | File Cabinet Server is not available | TPOVC::WADEJENG | | Fri Apr 02 1993 11:49 | 19 |

I am suspecting that my problem was because of the errors in starting

2366.10 | Check some UAF-settings: UIC, ID, Flag... | EEMELI::SALMINEN | I'm just a singer in an ALL-IN-1 band | Wed Apr 07 1993 14:30 | 39 |
| I don't know if the following solves your problem but it is
worth to check the following details.
I was doing an v2.4 -> v3.0 in a bank customer (typically)
starting at 6 pm on Friday ("and everything MUST work on Sunday
evening!") and had the same error message when trying
to run ALL-IN-1 after failed post-installation.
>>> The error message was due to failed partition seeding. <<<
Detailed analysis uncovered the following errors:
1. Due to improper Rightslist ID of the SYSTEM account,
the Identifier OAFC$SYSMAN was not granted to
account SYSTEM. Try the following:
UAF> GRANT/ID SYSTEM OAFC$SYSMAN
2. Because DEFAULT account had DISUSER-flag, this flag
was copied during upgrade to accounts OAFC$SERVER and
OAFC$DEFAULT preventing FCS operating at all. Try
the following commands:
UAF> MODIFY OAFC$SERVER /FLAGS=NODISUSER /ACCESS /NOEXP
UAF> MODIFY OAFC$DEFAULT /FLAGS=NODISUSER /ACCESS /NOEXP
And check also possible other access restrictions.
After the above mentioned corrections, and after running
the post-install procedure again, the error message was
still found when using some user accounts.
3. Check that the user accounts have unique UIC:s and
Rightslist Identifier:s, if they don't have such,
the partition seeding will fail to them.

2366.11 | Try this | CHRLIE::HUSTON | | Wed Apr 07 1993 15:43 | 24 |
|
It looks like there are two problems,
1) The FCS can't find one of the SDAF's
2) The account starting the FCS (OAFC$SERVER if starting detached)
does not have the privs.
do what .10 suggests, then check the server start up command file and
look for the section where it checks for needed privs, verify that
oafc$server has these.
If still in doubt do the followign:
$ A1FCS :== $sys$system:oafc$server.exe
$ a1fcs your_server_config_file
This will start the server up in the foreground (rather than
a detached process). Do this from an account that has alot of privs
like SYSTEM or ALLIN1, see what this does, it will log any errors
to the screen.

| re.9
>Error opening OA$DISK:[OA$SHARC]OA$DAF_C.DAT
Perhaps this system has an empty (unused) Mail Area.
Use SM MMA to check wether mail area OA$SHARC does exist.
Perhaps it was empty/unused and someone just deleted the
SDAF. Try SELecting OA$SHAREC. If the Delete option (which checks
for emptyness of the area) cannot find
the SADF, use SM_SDAF_MASTER to remove the record. I am not sure
wether FCS "knows" about mail areas but I expect it uses the
ALL-IN-1 data file instead of the logicals. So you don't
have to run the A1V30START.COM....
Hope this helps,

| There's obviously a record in the Shared DAF master, which is causing
this logical to get defined. From the Manager's account, call up the
form SM_SDAF_MASTER and see what records are in it. You might want to
delete the duff one for DAF C, and then rerun A1V30START to get the
logicals defined. Actually, you'll need to *DEASSIGN* that one manually
of course!
If there are any shared area logicals for DAF C, they'll be defined by
records in the form SM_SHARED_DIR_MASTER. Remove them in a similar way.

2366.18 | EMHEAD compiling error | TPOVC::WADEJENG | | Mon Apr 26 1993 05:12 | 20 |
| Hi!
I did get my "MAIN drawer missing" problem fixed by creating a mail
area-SHARC which corresponding to the OA$SHARC logical and copied
the oa$sdaf_e.dat to oa$sdaf_c.dat, then did "sm mfc ms sta"
accordingly, and could get to the EM form impressively. Thank you for
your helps.
But, there was another problem raised - "error encountered compiling
form EMHEAD" while I tried to create a new mail, the first panel I got
was the panel for editing the input content but not the message header
panel for inputing the sender/receiver information.
I did try "cm sel" the "EMHEAD" form, and "cm mla" to mark to move to
live area, followed by "cm ma pme" to process marked elements, but I
still could not eliminate the EMHEAD compiling error;
Can someone help me with this problem? Thank you in advance.

| Re .20
.19 was supposed to be empty, the wuestion was in the title!
If you get an error about compiling a form, GOLD/W normally tells you
what the mising symbol, form or syntax error was.
Most commonly, as .21 sggests it's because you have a customised form
and not all the members of the form set are in the same library.
Another reason can be that you have an old (i.e. previous version of
ALL-IN-1) of a form in the site library, and it's using a message
symbol that we've removed in the current version. But the CART should
have told you about that.

2366.23 | more EMHEAD form compiling error | TPOVC::WADEJENG | | Wed May 05 1993 03:44 | 32 |
| Hi!
I am puzzling why I am still getting "Error encountered compiling from
EMHEAD" while I am trying to exit from creating a new mail.
First, I entered the following commands to do the comparison:
base area:
$ fms/dir/full oa$lib:oaform/form=emhead
$ fms/dir/full oa$lib:oaform/form=emhead2
live area:
$ fms/dir/full oa$lib:siteoaform/form=emhead
$ fms/dir/full oa$lib:siteoaform/form=emhead2
I got exactly the same form with the same number of bytes and creation
date, which means there is no difference in these forms between the "live
area" and "base area".
Further, I entered GOLD/W at the error stage, I got the below information:
%OA-E-FLCCOMERR, Error encountered compiling form EMHEAD
-OA-E-FLCFRMSET, .FORM_SET form EMHEAD2 not found
But I did find the EMHEAD2 in both oa$lib:oaform.flb and oa$lib:siteoaform.
flb, how come the message said ".FORM_SET form EMHEAD2 not found"?
Question I have is that how can I get to the "Message Header" form in stead
of the editing form directly as the first panel?
Thank you again!

I must admit i'm a little confused but that's because I see you using
FMS commands directly at VMS level.
could you please go into ALL-IN-1 go to CM and check that when you do
an index you see that both EMHEAD and EMHEAD2 are there and both have
the live flag set to Y. If so can you then so to the CSZ menu and
PCF the form-library SITEOAFORM hopefully without errors.
I'd feel more comfortable if I saw you doing it inside ALL-IN-1
the way God or at least the relevant developer intended (:==:)

2366.25 | form compiling error still there | TPOVC::WADEJENG | | Thu May 06 1993 07:43 | 21 |
| Hi! Andrew,
Thank you for your note reply first!
Please excuse me for confusing you about my steps in trouble-shooting.
I did enter "cm i" and got both EMHEAD and EMHEAD2 in the index list
with "FRM" as type, "ENGLISH" as area, "Free" as status, and "Y" as
live flag. After I entered "sm csz pcf" to pre-compile oa$lib:siteoaform
and got it pre-compiled with an message as follows:
Symbol OA$_TM_SRE_NUM_OF_WEEK not found for form TMSRE_STYLE3
But, I thought this message won't harm any of the ALL-IN-1 operation.
Then, I invoked ALL-IN-1 again, and entered "em c", I still got to
the editing mode directly, the "Message Header" panel still missing
and I won't be able to enter the receiver name and address.
Can you think of any other reason to cause this problem? Is it could
be the incorrect customization management search orders setting?

which meaned that EMHEAD and EMHEAD2 did reside in live area, was it
because I only had one single mail area - OA$SHARE or something wrong

library, they obviously been customised, so you should make sure that
any message symbols etc. are correct.
What error details, if any, do you get in GOLD/W after each error?

2366.34 | EMHEAD and EMHEAD2 errors | TPOVC::WADEJENG | | Mon May 17 1993 11:19 | 42 |
| Hi! Graham,
I tried "<form emhead" command and got the following error message:
Error encountered compiling form EMHEAD
and I did GOLD/W I got:
%OA-E-FLCCOMERR, Error encountered compiling form EMHEAD
-OA-E-FLCFRMSET, .FORM_SET form EMHEAD2 not found
-------------------------------------------------------------------
Then, I tried "<form emhead2" again, and got the following error message:
"Error encountered while form EMHEAD2 was current"
and I did GOLD/W I got:
%OA-E-EIF, Error encountered while form EMHEAD2 was current
-OA-E-NPARSE, Error parsing:
^ Error
-OA-E-FORMTYPE, Invalid type in form
Again, I did enter "cm i", I got the following information displayed as
in note .30.
Index of Site Element
--------------------------------------------------------------------------
No. Name Type Area Status Live
--------------------------------------------------------------------------
1 EMHEAD FRM ENGLISH Free Y
2 EMHEAD2 FRM ENGLISH Free Y
I belive that the above information showing both the EMHEAD and MEHEAD2
reside in live area (OA$LIB:SITEOAFORM.FLB), and their status are free.
I don't know what's wrong with the type "FRM" of EMHEAD2 would cause
the invalid type in form?
Thanks!

2366.35 | I'm done! | IOSG::PYE | Graham - ALL-IN-1 Sorcerer's Apprentice | Mon May 17 1993 18:26 | 10 |
| Um, I've misled you slightly. In fact, because EMHEAD2 doesn't have any
named data in it, you will always get the error if you call it
directly. BTW the form type error it's talking about is something like
ENTRY, MENU etc. But of course it finds an "error" because there is
*no* form type.
OK, I have no more ideas. You must be getting one or other of the forms
from some other library somehow, regardless of what CM says!

2366.36 | FIND_FORM returns? | IOSG::HULIN | Ian Hulin, IOSG: REO, DTN 830-6141 | Mon May 24 1993 11:01 | 21 |
| Wade,
What does FIND_FORM return you for EMHEAD and EMHEAD2? Try something like
the following:
<FIND_FORM(FORM="EMHEAD",OUT=#WADEJ_EMHEAD)\GET #WADEJ_EMHEAD_STAT = OA$STATUS
<FIND_FORM(FORM="EMHEAD2",OUT=#WADEJ_EMHEAD2)\GET #WADEJ_EMHEAD2_STAT = OA$STATUS
<EXAMINE(SYMBOLS="#*EMHEAD*")
This should at least tell you where the forms being used are actually being
picked up from. The statuses will also tell you whether they are being
picked up form the forms cache or the library.
Hope this helps,
Cheers,
Ian

2366.37 | If your forms are in the wrong live locations | SIOG::T_REDMOND | Thoughts of an Idle Mind | Mon May 24 1993 11:58 | 31 |
| Also check the live disk location field in CM.
1. Select the form
2. Type:
<GET CM$SITELOG.LIVE_DISK_LOCATION[$CM_KEY]
If the two forms have different live disk locations then we have the
answer. Forms in a form set must be in the same library.
To solve the problem (if this is what it is).
1. Move the form that isn't in OA$LIB:SITEOAFORM.LIB back into the
development area (CM RFL). Remember to Process marked elements.
2. Select the form.
3. Change the live disk location field:
<WRITE CHANGE CM$SITELOG %KEY = $CM_KEY, LIVE_DISK_LOCATION =
"OA$SITE_LIB_ENGLISH:SITEOAFORM.FLB"
(or blank out the live disk location and then do a MLA, in which case
CM will invite you to enter a new live location)
4. Move the form into the live area.
5. Test (and hopefully succeed)

2366.38 | find_form approach | TPOVC::WADEJENG | | Fri May 28 1993 07:56 | 31 |
| Hi! Ian,
I did enter "<find_form(form="emhead",out=....)" as you suggested, and I
got the following messages:
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
EXAMINE(SYMBOLS="#*EMHEAD*")
Local Symbols:
--------------
#emhead_stat 1
#emhead OA$DISK:[ALLIN1.MGR]USER.FLB
#emhead2_stat 1
#emhead2 OA$DISK:[ALLIN!.SITE.LIB_ENGLISH]SITEOAFORM.FLB
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
It seemed like they were picked up from the different library? If this is the
reson cause my problem, please tell me the solution of it.
In addition, I tried "<get cm$sitelog.live_disk_location[$cm_key]" as
Tony suggested in .37, but both forms selected returned the identical library:
OA$SITE_LIB_LLV:SITEOAFORM.FLB,
therefore, I didn't go any further to fix the problem.
Thank you for all your time and efforts.

| OK, it's now simple. The Manager has a private copy of the form in
their USER form library, but doesn't have the other half of the form
set.
Go to FD, select the form in the user library and delete it. Now the
problem should go away, since both halves of the form will come from
the SITE library.
Repeat the steps in the previous note to be sure.

2366.40 | SYSTIDY/SYSUSER and Patch v3.0-1 conflicts | TPOVC::WADEJENG | | Mon May 31 1993 08:44 | 46 |
| Hi! Graham and all the others:
Thank you for all your time and efforts contributed on my problem.
The problem now has been eliminated after I enter "FD", then select
"EMHEAD" and delete it.
I am in the progress to update the TeamRoute from v1.0 to v1.1,
as instructed in the installation menu, I need to install ALL-IN-1
v3.0-1 patch kit first, and I did finish the installation procedure,
but then after I did "relink", I got a bunch of linking object is
not found in certain libraries, or duplicate objects are found.
Thus, my relink was failed and I did not get a new OA$MAIN.EXE created.
I consulted to one of my colleagues who had done ALL-IN-1 installation
before. He told me that might be because my current ALL-IN-1 has USIS
kit in it (SYSUSER, SYSTIDY), and these kits created some new object
modules; renamed, or re-arranged some existing object modules in different
order that were resided or used to reside in certain defaulted relinking
libraries, then caused the duplicate or modules not found problem.
I listed the A1_ECO001030.B saveset listing as below (object only):
object modules: (Part 1)
FINDFILE.OBJ, OA$SM_FCVR.OBJ, OA$SM_FCVR_TABLE_RTN.OBJ, OA$SM_MESS.OBJ,
OAARC.OBJ, OACABA.OBJ, OACABF.OBJ, OACABH.OBJ, OACABR.OBJ, OACHECK.OBJ,
OACMD.OBJ, OACMF.OBJ, OACMMA.OBJ, OACOPY.OBJ, OAEMDF1.OBJ, OAEMDF2.OBJ,
OAEMDF3.OBJ, OAEMDF4.OBJ, OAEMDF5.OBJ, OAEMDF8.OBJ, OAFBT.OBJ, OAFCF.OBJ,
OAFORMATTER.OBJ, OAIO.OBJ, OAMTIBLD.OBJ, OAMTIDLV.OBJ, OAMTILOC.OBJ,
OAMTIREM.OBJ, OAUIC.OBJ,
object libraries: (part 2)
OAFC$SERVER.OLB, WPAPRINT.OLB, WPAPRINTBG.OLB
I have run the "Deinstallation" on ALL-IN-1 v3.0-1 patch kit; can someone help
me to locate which object module in part 1 should replace/insert to the object
library in part 2? Then I can do the patch v3.0-1 relink on those modules in
part 1 specifically by replacing them in the current existing library in part
2 instead of re-arrange, rename or even delete them. This way, I might be
able to eliminate the conflicts between SYSUSER/SYSTIDY and ALL-IN-1 patch
v3.0-1.
Best Regards,
Wade

2366.42 | Index of shared directories | TPOVC::WADEJENG | | Tue Jun 15 1993 13:23 | 43 |
| Hi!
I have a question about the shared directories management.
First, I show logical on OA$SHARE_LOW and OA$SHARE_HIGH, I got "1"
and "10" respectively, then I do dir on OA$DISK:[OA$SHARE]*.dir, I
got the following output:
share1.dir;1 ----
share2.dir;1 |
.......... |---> I only have share1.dir to share10.dir available
.......... |
share10.dir;1 ----
But, in ALL-IN-1, I enter "mgt mma isd", I got the follows:
Shared Directories
(Selections: 0 ) (New messages: 0 )
-------------------------------------------------------------------------
No. Logical Directory Files Size
-------------------------------------------------------------------------
> 1 OA$SHARE1 OA$DISK:[ALLIN1.SHARE1] 5 24
2 OA$SHARE10 OA$DISK:[OA$SHARE.SHARE10] 99 774
3 OA$SHARE11 OA$DISK:[OA$SHARE.SHARE11] 0 0
4 OA$SHARE12 OA$DISK:[OA$SHARE.SHARE12] 0 0
....................
11 OA$SHARE19 OA$DISK:[OA$SHARE.SHARE19] 0 0
13 OA$SHARE20 OA$DISK:[OA$SHARE.SHARE20] 0 0
....................
22 OA$SHARE20 OA$DISK:[OA$SHARE.SHARE29] 0 0
24 OA$SHARE30 OA$DISK:[OA$SHARE.SHARE30] 0 0
--------------------------------------------------------------------------
The output means that I have more than share1 to share10 directories
available, please give a pointer on how to make this shared directories
consistent between physical disk directories and ALL-IN-1 "ISD"(index of
shared directories).
Thanks,

I have done a test on the ALL-IN-1 v3.0 for PostScript data printing

PostScript commands and control codes, I am not sure was this bacause
the set up of my printer in ALL-IN-1 was incorrect or there was some
other setup that I missed.
My printer is PrintServer20, and my set up in ALL-IN-1 are as follows:

Format Printer Type: PS
Destination Printer Type: LPS20
Print queue: LPS70$POST
Printer level: LPS20-PS
Comments: LPS70 printer for PostScript

I have done "dt sv" to save this mail in VMS file for your review, the
filename is in tpovc::[wadejeng]pstest.txt which has text data at front
and followed by a PostScript data as a attachment.
The first, I need your help to look into my setup of the printer, the
second, I like to know do I have to install DCPS (DECprint Supervior)
in order to print a ALL-IN-1 mail with mixed text and PostScript format?
Thank you for your help!

| Hi Wade,
Re note .51 was lost due to diskquota problems.
I guess you have tried doing a convert/fdl ? If not can you try doing
the convert to see if you can get around the problem ?
I have two tools available that *MAY FIX* the corruption note I will
*NOT GUARANTEE* anything. If the SDAF is badly corrupted you may have
to restore from backup, the problem you have reported has/may not have
been caused by the upgrade. It is highly unlikely that the upgrade
corrupted the SDAF.
Firstly check with your local CSC to see if they have any tools
available to fix corrupted files. If the OA group does not have the
tool than check with the OpenVMS group. Basically the tools I have
available will patch the corrupted records, this means that the data
will be lost from the SDAF.
Digital charge for this service and we have to make it clear to the
customer that we will *TRY* to recover as much data as possible.
Digital do not give any guarantees that the data files will be restored
fully or partly. Data integrity is the responsibility of the customer
and *NOT* the responsibility of Digital. I have to make this clear so
that you or the customer is left in no doubt and *REAL EXPECTATIONS*
are set before you make any commitments.
I will expect you to firstly contact your local CSC and *IF THEY DON'T*
have the tools available, I will make them available. On the
understanding that these tools are Digitals property and that they
cannot be given to the customer. As soon as you have "fixed" the
problem you must do a delete/erase of the tools from the customers
system. Please contact me off-line and I will give you instructions on
how to use the tools.

Sunil

Q. Does TeamLinks v2.0 needs to incorporate with ALL-IN-1 v3.0a ?
we have ALL-IN-1 v3.0 and ALL-IN-1 patch v3.0-1 but we failed in
installing TeamLinks v2.0. This is a TeamLinks fresh installation

Q. One user has TeamRoute routing message problem, both II(Inbox), IP

TeamLinks V2.0 requires ALL-IN-1 V3.0A + TeamLinks Connection
Package V2.0 (TLC V2.0 - on the same tape as V3.0A).
> but we failed in
> installing TeamLinks v2.0. This is a TeamLinks fresh installation

Not having V3.0A CAN NOT prevent TeamLinks installing. This is
a different problem, try asking in WINDOWS_OFFICE.
If you meant to say TeamLinks Connection Package V2.0, then yes,
you need V3.0A for TLC V2.0, and it won't install without it.

2366.62 | Error opening SCRIPT file | TPOVC::WADEJENG | | Tue Jan 25 1994 07:11 | 61 |
| Hi!
I have finished ALL-IN-1 upgrading from v2.4 to V3.0 on one of our region
site, I had five items indicated with status code "M" in CART report as
below prior to upgrading:
DEFAULT FRM ENGLISH M
MAILMEMO1 BLP ENGLISH M
MAILMEMO2 BLP ENGLISH M
SCHDMA FRM ENGLISH M
SCHDMAUISCAN FRM ENGLISH M
I did the minimum conflicts resolution to remove these elements from live
area and put them into development area before upgrading.
After I finished upgrading, I had some message displayed at ALL-IN-1 startup
as I had previously in note #2766.0:
Obsolete version of OA$DISK:[ALLIN1.SITE.LIB_ENGLISH]SITEMANAGER.FLC; - Continue
Obsolete version of TMRA1$DISK:[TMRA1SERVICE.LIB_ENGLISH]TMRFLB.FLC; - Continue
opening SCRIPT file "OAX$LIB_TIDY:SYSTIDY$OAINI"
I tried to compile SITEMANAGER as I did before buy entering "CM" or "SM CSZ",
I saw the following message shown at the bottom of the screen:
Customization Management search orders set
and then enter "PCF" for precompiling "oa$disk:[allin1.site.lib_english]
sitemanager", I got the following message:
Error opening SCRIPT file "CM_PCF"
then press CTRL/N to display named data accordingly, then I got:
Error opening MERGE file "VIEW" ...Press RETURN
I tried to execute certain other fucntions, it seemed to me that since I enter
"CM" or "SM CSZ", the customization search order was set, then, I no longer to
find any script or press "CTRL/N" to view any named data, I even tried to
execute CART resolution script file as CART menu proposed as follows:
<do oa$disk:[allin1.site]cm_cart_script_v30$english
and failed with the follows:
Form *CMMANAGEAREAS is not in the library
Q. Did I have to do something before ALL-IN-1 startup? since I removed those
five elements as mandatory conflict resolution prior to upgrade.
Q. What might go wrong with my customization search order?
Q. Why I could not get oa$disk:[allin1.site]cm_cart_script_v30$english

Q. My EMC form still looked as V2.4, I could not find DRAWER field as V3.0
supposed to see.

It sounds like you ask CM to open your development areas when you first
entered CM, correct?
Go into you OAUSER and delete *.A1$ESO;*, *.A1$LSO;*
When you go into CM again and it asks about developement areas say N.
Note that you shouldn't be running the CART script without first
playing around with it quite a bit. You'll need to edit it so that it
only processes the statuses for particular elements.

2366.64 | /NOCUSTOM and no DEVELOP forms or areas! | IOSG::PYE | Graham - ALL-IN-1 Sorcerer's Apprentice | Tue Jan 25 1994 17:46 | 16 |
| Re last question
If you've customised EMC, then you'll still see the old version, since
it's not a mandatory change. It will be a change that you should
address "soon" after the upgrade though.
Expanding on Mike's previous reply, because the Manager is a CM user,
he gets the DEVELOP forma library etc., opened when he goes into CM,
and hence all the things that you removed from live get found again.
You need to tidy up a bit whilst the MANAGER doesn't see any
customisations, so as well as taking Mike's advice to stop DEVELOP
being opended, it wouild be a good idea to start ALL-IN-1 with
/NOCUSTOM as well.

CM_MANAGER.A1$ESO;1 CM_MANAGER.A1$LSO;1 CM_PROGRAMMER.A1$ESO;1

Mike, in .63 reply, you said go into OAUSER, I am assuming to login

| NO, DO NOT delete the ones in OA$LIB! They are the template ones used
to set up everybody's search orders.
Just go into the MNAGAER account, spawn into the subprocess, and you'll
be in the right place. (Usually [.MGR]) and just delete the Manager's
*.%SO files.
Then exit ALL-IN-1 and reent;er, and when you go into CM, say "N" to
teh question about including DEVELOP in the search order.

I did delete *.a1%so files in [ALLIN1.MGR] (e.g. CM_MANAGER.A1%SO,
DEFAULT.A1%SO), and then reenter ALL-IN-1. But when I enter "CM"
I got "Cannot find form "CM1"" message in response, and I could'nt
even go into CM again to answer "N" at the prompt for development
areas, have you had experience in this problem? I also enter
"ALLIN1/NOCUST", and I could get a new EMC form with DRAWER new
feature shown on the screen which is the right display on V3.0,
if I don't enter "ALLIN1/NOCUSTOM" and I still got V2.4 display
without DRAWER shown.

| 1) Check what form libraries the MANAGER has in his PROFIL record.
2) Are you specifying any other qualifiers to the ALLIN1 (sic)
commmand, like /MENU or similar?
3) Until this is a bit better sorted, always use ALLI/NOCUSTOM.
The initial CM form is called CM$MAIN in V3.0, so something is
obviously still amiss. Probably you are seeing the wrong DEFAULT form.

2366.69 | EMC in DEVELOP.FLB not in SITEOAFORM | TPOVC::WADEJENG | | Tue Feb 08 1994 06:22 | 25 |
| Hi! Graham,
I have completed subsequent installation of systidy and sysuser after I
did ALL-IN-1 v3.0 installation, for my previous problems in .62, I
suspected that my ALL-IN-1 v2.4 was incorporated with SYSUSER/SYSTIDY
V1.0 which resulted in certain "CM" problems, therefore, I did the upgrade
for SYSTIDY and SYSUSER form v1.0 to v2.0 respectively, and now, the system
seems to work properly, I can do "SM", "CM", .... , and "EM" (using "EMC"
form in OA$DISK:[ALLIN1.SITE.LIB_ENGLISH]SITEOAFORM) also come up a new menu
with "DRAWER" new feature in it.
There is still a minor problem in my ALL-IN-1 v3.0, right after I do "CM",
which will in turn, set search order, then I come back to do "EM", then
the "EMC" form was changed to OA$DISK:[ALLIN1.SITE.DEV_ENGLISH]DEVELOP.FLB,
I believe it's because search order has been reset. I do "CM" "SCE" "SSO",
my current order is "CM_MANAGER" the first, "DEFAULT" the second, which
I believe should be the right order.
Q. Should I reset some other search order (e.g. form library order)?
Q. Should I just go ahead replace EMC in DEVELOP.FLB with EMC in SITEOAFORM?

| Hi,
You will find the Named Data for ALL on form MORE$SCROLL$KEYS$INDEX,
under ;;OA$_MO_SELECT_ALL;;
There are also related forms such as SM$MORE$SCROLL$KEYS$INDEX,
SA$MORE$SCROLL$KEYS$INDEX & CM$MORE$SCROLL$KEYS$INDEX.FLX for use in
System Mgt, System Administrtation, and Customisation Mgt respectively.
(I think there's another one as well). But your note impiles it's the
index of message you are interested in, and so MORE$SCROLL$KEYS$INDEX
is the one you want.
You will find the Named Data for "XR" in form EM$INDEX$OPTIONS (again
assuming it's the index of messages you are interested in).
A little trick to get these "invisible" forms up to see the Named data
is to type:
<form MORE$SCROLL$KEYS$INDEX/pre=prompt
and then use Control N to see the Named data.

Hi Wade,
The changes to add the ALL and XR options were part of the enhancements
made in V1.1 of TeamRoute for ALL-IN-1. These options were not present
in V1.0. So I suspect that you are either looking at the V1.0 forms, or
you are looking on a V1.1 system at customised versions of these forms.

| Well the simplest way to avoid this is not to add the user to the Mail
Directory when you create them! ;-) Edit the template you are using
to turn the Mail directory field to 'N', and re-try.
Other than that, the log tells you what is wrong - DDS is suspended.
There are some states of DDS that are difficult to check, and suspended
is one of them, if I recall, because the inquiry simply hangs...
So, Create User does a very mickey-mouse test for DDS suspension, which
is what is failing your Create User job. Check out DDS on your systems.
If you have a look at oa$lib:sm_submit_check_dds.com you will see that
the actual error status returned (2) means that "DDS is stopped".

Are you saying that when the user has printed the SAME document a couple of
time the WPS-PLUS Print Settings are changed.
If the user is printing DIFFERENT documents then what you are seeing could be
expected. Each WPS-PLUS documents has its own WPS-PLUS Print Settings which
are stored in the header of the .WPL file. When you print a WPS-PLUS document
its own Print Settings are used by default unless you decide to change them.
Therefore every WPS-PLUS document may have different settings. If you decide
to change the WPS-PLUS Print Settings during a print operation then you are
changing the settings for that document only, and no other existing documents
will be changed.

should look through a directory. Of course, if they are VMS Mail
messages, you can't do it, but for ALL-IN-1 messages you can. Is it
possible that you didn't run the CART (?) to find your customizations
from V2.4? You should be able to pull your old MAILMEMOn.BLP files
from V2.4 and use those. You do have to customize the SWC forms a bit,
I guess, but the old values should still be in the users' .PST files

No, you shouldn't. They don't include the "Sent By:" field which get's

which you *can* write new notes. Less and less people will be reading
this old version of the conference, so I suggest you move to the new

In V3.1, the title is automatically copied from the underlying message,
with 'FWD:' put on the front. In V3.0, I don't think that the mail code
does the copy of the subject, but the WP code does.
