2323.0. "Access to Calandars not deleted when account is deleted" by KERNEL::SALMONJ (Jason Salmon) Wed Feb 24 1993 16:20

Hello,
I have a customer using ALL-IN-1 V3.0-1 on VMS V5.5-1.

Users have noticed that when they use the TM CAM and list calendars to which
they have access, they find that it shows that they have access to calendars of
users no longer on the system.
It does not appear that such access is being removed when the accounts are
deleted. Where is the access information stored ?
Is there a quick way for the customer to clear up her system ? Or is it the
case that she needs to remove all such access when she deletes an account ?
As an aside what would happen if :

a user BLOGGS currently appears to have access to user SMYTHE's calendar (Two
Calendars, not Set Owner). User SMYTHE was removed from the system two years
previously. A new user is added with a username of SMYTHE. Will BLOGGS
automatically acquire access to the new user's calendar?

Any suggestions ?

Jason.

There are a couple of STARS articles describing this problem. The data
    file is OA$DATA:CALACCESS.DAT.

Find a v2.4 copy of MUA_DEL_ACCOUNT.COM. There is a couple lines of
code (search for labels CAL_ACCESS_LOOP1 & CAL_ACCESS.LOOP2) that
    should work.

The US CSC is currently considering offering a billable service to
clean up old TM data. If you have a customer that needs more cleanup,
have them write up a description of what they desire and we'll consider
    quoting on it.
