Hi, I looked around in the notes file a bit, and didn't see this addressed anyplace. If it has, a pointer would be great! I work in an organization in which a decent percentage of the group chooses to have their ALL-IN-1 mail forwarded off to a VAXMail address. Nothing uncommon here. However, this situation is indeed unique. Let's say that I have an ALL-IN-1 account on the XXX address: Paul Areano @XXX In order for me to change my profile, I log into the cluster that is running ALL-IN-1 (let's use cluster ZZZ as an example) and change the profile to utilize MTS and route all of my ALL-IN-1 mail to vaxmail address WWW::AREANO. What makes my situation uniquie is that I DON'T NEED MY ACCOUNT ON CLUSTER ZZZ for any other reason! If my ALL-IN-1 profile could be maintained/modified by another means, I can eliminate the need for me having an account on cluster ZZZ. Many folks in my group are in the same situation - with cost cutting the norm these days, we're looking at every area to try and save $$$. Any ideas/suggestions on how to do this? Is it possible? Thanks! Paul

Hi Paul, If you (and the other folks in your group in Acton) don't think that you will _ever_ want to use your ALL-IN-1 account on "CLUSTER ZZZ", why don't you contact your friendly MTS Support folks over in Littleton, and ask to have your (and the other folks in your group in Acton) message router entry changed to point directly to your VMSmail address? Then your ALL-IN-1 account can be deleted and you won't have to worry about profile changes. Please note that this becomes a manual entry, and it is incumbent upon you (and the other folks in your group in Acton) to keep the MTS Support folks aware of _any_ change in your electronic address. Try calling Pam Crawford and/or Mike Jessop and asking about this; we do direct-don't-stop-at-ALL-IN-1 electronic addressing for several folks in our geography. Hthy, Ron |
