2270.0. "Documentation of CM$CART$BASE$CHANGES" by GYPSC::KRAMER (Fritz Kramer @UFC, Munich, 865-1305) Tue Feb 16 1993 14:58

During a CART run a file dynamically mapped by the entry form
CM$CART$BASE$CHANGES is used for the processing.

Has anybody has a description of the fields of this form and how
the different field are used for?

The fields of the form are:

    NAME
    TYPE
    AREA
    NUMBER
    STATUS
    NEW_LOCATION
    NEW_AREA
    DETAIL1 - DETAIL5
    INT_ID
    TOTAL
    FILLER

The meaning of most of them is obvious but not of all (e.g. NUMBER,
    STATUS, NEW_LOCATION, NEW_AREA, INT_ID, TOTAL)

    Any help is appreciated

    Thanks

    Fritz

Hi Fritz, good to hear from you again!

NUMBER - A sequence number for the change records for this element, to
             make the key unique.

    STATUS - C = Changed; D = Deleted; A = Added; M = Mandatory change.

NEW_LOCATION and NEW_AREA - If the file has moved, the new location
                                (e.g. OA$LIB) and Area (e.g. German)

INT_ID - An internal identifier. Actually the note number of the chaneg
in our internal chnage control system. Really only there for
me to diagnose co**ups in the program that builds the file.

TOTAL - Total number of change records for this element (e.g. 35 for
            EM$INDEX$OPTIONS :-) )

    Graham

PS I wonder why you want to know this....
