Hello,
Can someone help me with the following problem?
ALL-IN-1 v3.0
The customer upgraded from 2.4 to 3.0, and did not receive any errors. When
he now tries to edit/create a printer entry within ALL-IN-1 via SM MFP MPR
PR he gets the error
Error accessing oa$siteprinters.dat
File currently locked by another user
The same error occurs if he calls the form smprinters directly.
The customer tried converting the data file, and anal/rms, but received no
errors. He then tried creating a new printers file using create/fdl, and
then used create_printers.scp, then manually added his four extra
printers. After completing these steps , he still gets the same error.
They ran SDA on the file, and no-one has an exclusive lock on the file, so
they cannot understand the reason for the error. The values of ENQLM, and
sysgen parameters LOCK_ID and REHASHTBL all seemed O.K.
The structure of the .dat and .fdl files are the same as ours, so I cannot
see any reason for this error. Does anyone have an idea why this problem
may occur??

| Julie,
the only reference in STARS to this file is note 333 in this
conference.
I can only guess (cos I don't do printers) that something went wrong
during the A1$POSTINSTALL phase. After that and unless anyone else
responds you'll have to open a new box of SPRs
