2252.0. "SBQ/SPQ error opening QUEUE.TMP ??" by MSAM00::HOSOKEHUN () Fri Feb 12 1993 13:08

    Hi,

    I am running ALL-IN-1 IOS V2.4 on VMS V5.4-2.

    I have problems with doing a SBQ or a SPQ (show batch/print queue)
    command, getting error "error opening QUEUE.TMP, file not found"

    Can someone please tell me what have I missed and where I can find this
    file ?? I even interactively activated the COMMAND EMCONTROL SBQ/SPQ
    and get the same porblem.

    Is it possible to just created this file QUEUE.TMP ? where and what
    format ??

    Any help is much appreciated.

    Thanks,
    Angeline

MGT SBQ Results in 'Error Opening LIST file QUEUE.TMP'

PRODUCT: ALL-IN-1 V2.3, V2.4

PROBLEM:

The ALL-IN-1 Manager attempts to use the Show Batch queue
option MGT SBQ which results in the error:

'Error opening LIST file "QUEUE.TMP"'

GOLD MESSAGE (GOLD W) displays the error:

%OA-E-LISFNF, error opening LIST file "QUEUE.TMP"
-RMS-E-FNF, file not found
%OA-E-EIR, error occurred while form OA$LIST was current

ANALYSIS:

From an ALL-IN-1 menu, enter the ALL-IN-1 subprocess by
typing:

 $ {RETURN}

At the DCL prompt, verify the default directory of the subprocess
using:

 $SHOW DEFAULT

CAUSE:

If the ALL-IN-1 subprocess is active and the default directory
for the subprocess is set to something other than the
user's ALL-IN-1 subdirectory, this error will occur.

SOLUTION:

Make sure that the default directory of the users ALL-IN-1 subprocess
is set to the users ALL-IN-1 directory which is specified in the
user profile.

If it is not, enter the subprocess and set the default directory
accordingly.

 From the ALL-IN-1 menu, enter the ALL-IN-1 subprocess:

 $ {RETURN}

Set the user's default directory to the ALL-IN-1 subdirectory

 $SET DEFAULT dev:[username.A1]

Return To ALL-IN-1:

 $ {RETURN}

Now the MGT SBQ option should complete successfully.
