2240.0. "Determine version of WPS-PLUS?" by GANTRY::HULL (Digital Services Delivery - Motown) Tue Feb 09 1993 19:43

Is there a simple/clever way to see exactly what version of WPS-PLUS is
integrated into an ALL-IN-1 system? The normal <VERSION function doesn't
reference WPS-PLUS. Since V2.4 could have the base kit level or the
WPS-PLUS patch kit, what is the proper way to tell? All I could think of
was to look for the Patch configuration data file and type it out, looking
for OAW, etc. ???

Regards,

	Al

P.S. I *know* that Tony will be clever with this somehow!

    Al,

    The proper (and supported) way is the patch configuration file.

    A sneakier way would be to look for a specific .OLB or .OBJ within
    an .OLB since the WPS-PLUS v3 stuff is so different to the v4 stuff.
    Also you could look for an added file such as SHOW_LIPS.BLP but why
    would you want to go to all that trouble.

    If for V2.4 you're trying to tell between WPS-PLUS V3.1 and V4.0, just
    check the status block.  Two-way toggle => V3.1 ... three-way => V4.0
