2166.0. "ALL-IN-1 programming and FMS help text" by OKBYUS::LUNDIN () Wed Jan 27 1993 19:07
I am doing some ALL-IN-1 programming and am trying to use the help
text, from the form, to appear when the user hits the help key. I have
entered this help text, through the assign field attribute option, and
put the text on the last field attribute.
When I am editing the form from CM, take the S(screen) image, and test
the form, the help text appears correctly, on each field of the form.
However, when I access the form from ALL-IN-1, I get the error message
telling me that there is no help available on this field and/or form.
Do I need to create a help library? I really only need the small
amount of verbage that I already have put into the form.
Any help would be really appreciated.
Sincerely,
Sandra

2166.1 | Not all of the FMS functionality is available !!!! | BUSHIE::SETHI | Man from Downunder | Thu Jan 28 1993 03:07 | 19 |
| Hi Sandra,
I can tell you why this is happening but I don't know of away around
this "problem".
Gold H or PC HELP is defined in the DEFAULT form to display help. So when
you enter Gold H or PC HELP the globally defined key definition is used.
Now to overcome this problem may not be easy because it *could* be
defined within the code of ALL-IN-1. Some of the functionality that is
provided by FMS is not always available from ALL-IN-1. On the other
hand there could be away of displaying the help on field and I don't
know of away to do it. So someone from IOSG may provide us with a
solution or a confirm what I have said.
Regards,
Sunil
