I am an EDU instructor based in Rome, Italy. I am evaluating the possibility to set up a 1 day "seminar" for ALL-IN-1 (IOS) V3.0. The seminar should be more than a demo or a presentation and less than a training. It should be set-up with something like: - a general presentation of user changes (~1 h) - a demo of interesting new features (~1 h) - a general presentation of system management changes (~1 h) - a demo of system management changes (~1 h) - a general presentation of programming changes (~1 h) - a demo of programming changes (~.5 h) - a presentation of new ALL-IN-1 courses (~.5 h) There would be no lab or exercise. Can anybody tell me if there is any experience of similar issues? Is there any courseware I can use? Suggestions, pointers and hints welcome. Mario

We (Angela Shore and I) ran a one day ALL-IN-1 V3.0 seminar in the UK last month. We attracted (Angela attracted, I repelled) over 70 customers, so it was quite lucrative. I basically stood up and talked all day long about: -- The New File Cabinet -- Upgrading old code for V3.0 -- ALL-IN-1 Programming in V3.0 -- Customization Management -- Installing the Beast -- System Management -- Tips and Techniques The material was based on a pile of DECUS presentations, plus extracts from the regular ALL-IN-1 Advanced Technical Seminar. GAP basically allowed me to sully his name by using his slides. No lab time, demos, or exercises were included. There was too little time to cover everything! A copy of my V3.0 book was meant to be given to all attendees on the day, but the books didn't arrive on time so they had to be sent afterwards. Angela knows all the details about logistics, pricing, publicity, etc. I would contact her to get that information. All I know about is how to talk... Best of luck, Tony |
