2080.0. "INVFIELD error?" by TKTV27::HONOBE (Yukie Honobe/TSC/CS/Japan) Thu Jan 14 1993 09:24

My customer created Entry Form, which has Over-200-fields.
When users Add, Delete or Modify data, sometimes the following error occured:

	INVFIELD, invalid field specification

Sometimes data entry completed successfully.
He says that entry form has many GET statement. He cannot specify error
occuring statement or operation because of so many fields.

We want to know in which situation INVFIELD-error occur?

Any tips will be appreciated.
Thanks in advance.

2080.1Trace show a field number?AIMTEC::BUTLER_TThu Jan 14 1993 13:5415
    Hello:

    I do not think 200 is a limit on the number of fields on and entry
    form (someone will correct me if it is).

    One thing to check would be the size of the form. Is it over 4000
    bytes? This seems to cause memory problems.

    Did you do a trace? The trace will show the field number. If you
    are running the trace when the error message appears it will get
    you one step closer.
