2069.0. "Batch initialization" by ZPOVC::CECILIACHENG () Tue Jan 12 1993 13:18
Hello,
An application subsystem has very complication initialization routines,
unfortunately, the routines are done using Named Data instead of
scripts.
A batch procedure is now required to automate some housekeeping tasking
for this subsystem. To initialize, one way would be to covert the
named data into scripts for the batch job, looking at the named data,
it will be a rather tedious job. Any better ways? My ALL-IN-1
programming is very rusty :)
The script symbiont in V3.0 should be the answer, unfortunately, we
have to stay on 2.4 for quite some time.
Thanks & Rgds,
Cecilia

2069.1 | How about UDP's | GIDDAY::SETHI | Man from Downunder | Tue Jan 12 1993 22:23 | 9 |
| Hi Cecilia,
If you have everything in named data and want to select certain options
to be carried out in batch mode, how about using UDP's. I have in the
past used UDP's without a problem in batch job's.
Regards,
Sunil
