2058.0. "Different problem, same file" by SWAM2::RHODEWALT_BR (Pillage pillage, loot loot) Sat Jan 09 1993 08:03

We have a somewhat different problem, but it involves the same file.
    Maybe someone has an idea.

We are attempting a 2.4-->3.0 upgrade. Everything looks fine until the
relinking begins. After the message "Building shared image modules" we
get a report about "Error processing file:
SYS0$DIA0:[SYS0.SYSUPD.A1030]OAFC$CLIENT_SHR" and then we're told to
correct the problem and continue. We know by examining A1LINK.COM that
the error is in the BUILD_IMAGE_STUBS subroutine, and it appears to be
    generated by the OASHRBLD program.

We have been meticulous about our preinstallation checking. We have
WPCORP and LOTUS integrated. VMS 5.4, MR 3.1B, no linked DTR.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    Yes, we deassigned SMBSRVSHR.

2058.1Moved by moderatorIOSG::TALLETTGimmee an Alpha colour notebook...Mon Jan 11 1993 08:4416

I moved this from 2052.1 as it seems like a different problem.

    	I take it:

    	Error processing file:SYS0$DIA0:[SYS0.SYSUPD.A1030]OAFC$CLIENT_SHR

is the only error message? No reason why it might have had a
problem? If you still had the installation running you could check
    	from another process if
    	SYS0$DIA0:[SYS0.SYSUPD.A1030]OAFC$CLIENT_SHR.EXE exists...

Sorry I couldn't be more help.

    Regards,
    Paul

I would guess your problem is that you have logins disabled during
    the upgrade. See note 835.
    Cheers,
