2036.0. "Blank Pages and HPLJIII" by LARVAE::JORDAN (Chris Jordan, TSE - Technology Services, End-User Computing) Tue Jan 05 1993 11:35

1328 is almost what I want..... but not quite.

I have an standard ALL-IN-1 V3.0 system printing to an HP LaserJet
    through the HPLJIII printer table.....

and I get a blank page at the end of printing the mail messages.

Also when I print a mail message with attachments, I get a blank page
    between each attachment.

Anyone got any clues, or better still, answers??

    Cheers, Chris

    Chris

Have you tried taking out the <ESC>E from the termination sequence
in the HPLJIII.PRA table? I believe this is a formfeed and because
there is one in the init. sequence too, then it is producing 2
    formfeeds instead of one.

    hi,

customer has an HPLASERJETIII that is printing double spaces and escape
codes when printing frm ALL-IN-1. this is a "spooled" printer, so i
    can't try from DCL level.

does anyone know the attributes to change in the .PRA file

Thanks Julia, for .2 (and removing the <esc>E from the HP LaserJet
    table)....

I didn't get back here 'cos I found the answer in the WPS-PLUS
conference (now that everyone has picked themselves up again....):-)
What you need to do is to send a <FF> to the printer, and that stops
the blank!! - Obvious isn't it!

Apparently <esc>E<FF> says we don't need to form feed, while <esc>E
says we may do, so I will do so just in case!
