Not correct. Patch is send on request. See note 17.1.

You CSC has it. If you have access to TIMA TOOLS, you can get it
yourself.

| what would we do without Jan??
Apart from TIMA the patch is also available via DSNlink and CSCPAT
(and maybe even K-MART?)
I haven't seen an 'official' announcement for a kit location though
Jim Parker @REO (the author of the message in 17.1) would be the person
to officially bless such an announcement so you might like to contact
him if none of the other methods are available to you.

2033.3 | still looking...
| CROCKE::COLEMAN | | Wed Jan 06 1993 02:57 | 15 |
| Thanks for your reply Jan.
I tried our CSC before entering the base note - they don't have it.
I've just tried accessing the patch using TIMA TOOLS, but our version of
TIMA is less than TIMA023 and therefore will not copy the tool. I've talked
to our TIMA support people and they say that it wont be upgraded for at
least a couple of weeks. As per the base note, I would like to have it in
the next day or so for the reasons in the base note.
So, can someone please give me a pointer to a directory containing the patch
kit?
Thanks in advance,
Chris

2033.4 | .2 is the best place to ask | AIMTEC::WICKS_A | A year behind in more ways than one | Wed Jan 06 1993 05:19 | 7 |
| Chris,
did you read .2 for a contact name?

2033.5 | Got it now. Thanks Jan. | CROCKE::COLEMAN | | Thu Jan 07 1993 00:49 | 14 |
| Thanks Andrew, but .2 wasn't there when I wrote my reply in .3 - you
must have entered .2 as I was writing .3
I don't believe that it's necessary to make a location known for
general copying of the kit, as it is available through TIMA (if you
happen to have the right version of TIMA). The beauty of using TIMA
TOOLS for copying kits is that you only ever get one copy of the kit
transferred across the net rather than every man and his dog copying
it and wasting network resources.
If it weren't for my quick need of the kit then I would have been happy
to wait for the new version of TIMA and copied it that way.
Thanks again Jan and Andrew.
