2021.0. "strange behaviour in FORWARDing mail..." by MSAM00::HOSOKEHUN () Tue Dec 29 1992 08:24

    HI,

    I am running ALL-IN-1 V2.4, VMS V5.4-3.

    Have been experiencing some strange behaviour from ALL-IN-1 and would
    like to know if its intended behaviour.

    Create new mail, with subject XX, exit and save

    II to read new mails and then FORWARD to forward the current mail.
    However, what is displayed in the subject field is XX and the mail in
    the created folder that I just created was actually forwarded to users.

    If this is an intended behaviour, can you please explain what happen so
    I can tell my users ??

    Thanks an regards,
    Angeline

    HI,

    More information.

    This time, it was one particular mail in the outbox that gets send
    evrytime I do a forward. That particular mail is not the first nor the
    last mail in outbox, its a mail in the middle.

    Sequence: II
              F
              (see subject as the one in OUTBOX, and evrytime is the same)

    any ideas ??????....

2021.2Does the user read before trying to forward?FORTY2::ASHGrahame Ash @REOTue Jan 05 1993 15:088
After the user does the II does s/he then do anything with the messages? I'm
trying to imagine what the current message (OA$CURMES) is - if the user just
does II, then the top message may not be current - you'd have to explicitly
access (e.g. Read) it.

[Incidentally, I just tried IO, then <get oa$curmes - and there's no output!]
