2013.0. "DDS access" by ZPOVC::CECILIACHENG () Wed Dec 23 1992 11:01

My application needs to access DDS from ALL-IN-1. I understand that
there is a DDS DSAB available but not sure how to use it, don't seem to
find it in the documentation. What I need is to retrieve the current
user's DDS entry. Would really appreciate any advice or pointers.

Also what are the valid fields for the DDS DSAB? I believe this is
only a subset of the entire DDS entry. I need to see if all the DDS
info I need is available in the DDS DSAB.

Thanks in advance for your input.

    Merry X'mas,

Cecilia,

Have a look at the scripts on OA$LIB: beginning with SUBSCRIBER*.

They will give you some great examples on how to access the DDS fields.

Also there is the now legendary book by Dave Hare which used to be in
HAMPS::SYS$PUBLIC:DDS_GUIDE_V*.LN03, if you want to get into much more
nitty gritty details. It isn't there at the moment, but i am sure that
someone else will have a proper pointer.

Only great? and Sir David gets a legendary! in his mention

David's book is still in the Electronic Library that is maintained
by MIG (message router engineering) and is still an excellent source
of help even at ALL-IN-1 v3.0. I remember him saying in Monaco in
1989 whilst we were on an expense paid fact finding tour for the book
that it was five years ahead of it's time so it's still got another
    year left!

    Cecillia,

Try FORTY2::MAILBUS for a pointer to that copy - it has a few minor
errors but will help you a lot.

    regards,
