1994.0. "Disable the Interrupt Menu within the Document Quota Exceeded Menu?" by HKOVC::TERENCE (From Middlesex, UWO) Mon Dec 21 1992 03:30

    How can I prevent the users from bringing up the Interrupt Menu from the
    Document Quota Exceeded Menu? I found out that many users in our site
    create and send mail using SP (Scratch pad) even though they have exceeded
    their document quota.

    Thanx in advance

1994.1Interrupt Menu has been disabled alreadyGIDDAY::SETHIMan from DownunderMon Dec 21 1992 06:0723
    Hi Terence,

    Gold I brings up the Interrupt Menu and this is already disabled on the
    OVERQUOTA form in version 2.4 and 3.0, unless they have enabled it. If
    the problem is that you do not want them to send mail from the scratch
    pad menu than you should disable the send option.

    As a suggestion you can edit the do script SPSEND and add the following
    lines :-)

    display Send option has been disabled
    .exit

    This will disable the send option from the Scratch Pad menu. Or disable
    the Scratch Pad option all together by editing the DEFAULT menu.

    I didn't think Middlesex existed it's been gobbled up by London even
    though there is a cricket team called Middlesex :-).

    Regards,

    Sunil

    Our people use F6 to activate the Interrupt Menu. Is this supposed to be
    disable together with GOLD/I? If not, how can I disable F6?

    Thanx for your help

    Regards, Terence

PS. You know London? The little one in Canada?
1994.3Modify the named data for OVERQUOTAGIDDAY::SETHIMan from DownunderTue Dec 22 1992 04:4218
    Hi Terence,

    How about modifying the named data for the form OVERQUOTA add the
    following :-

    ;;.F6;;

    FORM .   Include the "."

    This should do the trick I am sure. I had forgotten that F6 was was
    defined to call up the Interrupt Menu, however I did not see it in the
    named data for the DEFAULT form.

    Well good luck,

    Sunil

    PS - I know London the big one in England.

    I think people better disable the F6 Interrupt Menu completely. I found out
    that you can enter EM from the Interrupt Menu even though you have exceeded
    your document quota. Following is the keystroke sequence (should I enter
    that here?):

    F6 SP E Gold/H Space F10

    Now, you are back in the SP menu again. From there, enter EM and there you
    go.
