What is the Status "NOTED" which stands in the fielcabinet of my manager and increases his mailcount by one, which is no deletable and forwardable. How can I make him delete this mail. Initializing his mailcount to 0 did not help either. Best regards, Tansu YEGEN

NOTED indicates that something "happened" when the message was originally read from the INBOX. Can't the user read the message (or print it) again? That should remove the NOTED status. Tony

Reading or printing gave various errors like "Error occured writing to the attendee file" "Error opening merge file "OA$TEMP:KAL015758.WPL". But <CABINET RESET_DELETE ,"Y" solved the problem which was advised in one of the previous notes as the 3rd reply to question. Thank you very much for your help,

Tansu, The error you were getting about the attendee file suggests that the 'new mail' was actually a time-management event notice. It wouldn't be a bad idea checking that ATTENDEE.DAT isn't corrupt. regards, Andrew.D.Wicks |
