1955.1 | Probably a post-install problem... | IOSG::PYE | Graham - ALL-IN-1 Sorcerer's Apprentice | Mon Dec 14 1992 08:44 | 18 |
| This information is held in the file OA$DATA:CM$SDC.DAT. This file had
a different name in V2.4, and it is substantially updated during the
upgrade process.
My guess would be that something went wrong during the post-install
part of the upgrade installation. Can you check the log and see if
there's any errors?
If you don't have the log, you should just be able to run that part of
the post-install again. Depending on what you have done since the
upgrade, you might be able to do the whole thing again, but if you have
started using the system, it might be safer to just do the SDC elements
file bit.
The post-install procedure is in OA$LIB:A1$POSTINSTALL.COM, and you can
edit bits of out as required.

1955.2 | A STARS article with explanations | CESARE::EIJS | All in 1 Piece | Mon Dec 14 1992 10:13 | 14 |
|
Hi Chik,
There is a STARS article (actually a 'guide') with explanations of
the CM messages during an installation. It also contains info on how to
recover. I don't have access to STARS, but part of the title is
'Customization Management installation messages'.
Andrew can give you the exact title (at least if he safely arrived in
the UK ;-)).
Ciao,
Simon

1955.3 | Not accessible to me sorry. | IOSG::WICKSA | Left alone in IOSG's rabbit warren | Mon Dec 14 1992 12:05 | 12 |
| Simon,
actually I can't get to STARS from here so I can't give you the title
of the article - it's something like "common Customization Management
Error Messages".
Perhaps someone in the CSC can post the correct title please.
regards,

1955.4 | Is the MANAGER account registered in CM? | SIOG::T_REDMOND | Thoughts of an Idle Mind | Mon Dec 14 1992 12:16 | 7 |
| Is there any possibility that the Manager's account is not included in
the list of authorized users? If this is the case then the manager
will not be able to see anything from a CM ABE index (or a CM index).
Remember that (in V3.0) CM restricts the view of elements that you can
see to those that are stored in the areas you have access to...
