1904.1 | ALL-IN-1 | AIMTEC::BUTLER_T | | Fri Dec 04 1992 22:02 | 18 |
| Hello:
I have seen this issue before in ALL-IN-1 (the other one is a diaper
service - I think - we would not want to infringe on their trademark)
and the approach involved splitting the pages into different files
before printing.
This involved a program to look for page breaks, etc..
Is this a WPS-PLUS file? If so you may want to check the WPS-PLUS
conference.
HTH,
Tim

1904.2 | LN03's don't like used paper | WARNUT::RICE | A human resource | Tue Dec 08 1992 10:08 | 11 |
| ** DO NOT ** put paper through an LN03 twice, please see your local IS
or Printer Engineer for why this will cost more in maintenance costs
than you will save (and remember LN03's cost's are already high because
of their age).
I must admit I can't remember the exact reason, the memo was a long
time ago :-) But I think it had something to do with the fusing
unit.

At a rough guess, as the first page goes over the fusing unit a second time, the
toner "melts" and sticks to the rollers...

1904.4 | It was worth a shot! | GRANMA::JHADEN | | Tue Dec 08 1992 13:29 | 11 |
| .1 Thanks Tim, my need is for both WPS-PLUS and normal A1 files
.2 Thanks Steve, didn't know that. I'm in a very small DEC facility,
have only 1 LN03 and I am very protective of it. It's been a
great one, I'm very conscientious about servicing it. I guess
I've been lucky as I've been re-feeding all this time (not
often though)
.3 Thanks Scott, I'll keep it in mind.
I guess at this point, there's no easy answer to my question. Does
anyone know how I would submit an enhancement request for a future
version of A1? Thanks.....Judy

1904.5 | Suggestion or write an asset | AIMTEC::BUTLER_T | | Tue Dec 08 1992 13:51 | 12 |
| Judy,
You can call your local CSC and submitt it as a suggestion.
You can possibly get someone to fund your time to do this and
it could become an asset package. I think this way would be
your best bet.
While Andrew would remind me that Assets is a dirty word in
the US at this time, I would hope we can start it up again, soon.
