1886.0. "Shared System Wide Dictionaries" by COMICS::BARHAM (Norbert:) Tue Dec 01 1992 15:51

    ALL-IN-1 3.0

    Can someone tell me whether you can create new shared system wide
    dictionaries ? (I think not). You can obviously share documents but
    they do not appear in lists of available dictionaries.
    Note 184 in ALL-IN-1_v24 suggests you need an asset called SPELLSHARE
    which I haven't found in the EOASSETS conference ?
    Does anyone know if it exists and whether it is v3 compatible or shall
    I SPR it ?

    Thanks

The linguistics sub-system does not provide support for creating additional
shared dictionaries.

I don't know about the ASSETs.

1886.2SPR no good - abandon hope!AIMTEC::WICKS_ASoon: warm beer, football, rainWed Dec 02 1992 20:3610
    Clive,

    if this ASSET isn't listed in the European ASSETS library then it's
    gone forever since no other geography retained an Office ASSETS
    programme. An SPR wouldn't do you much good either as PIPE (or whatever
    you use in Basingstoke) would probably route it to a black-hole.

1886.3No title even looks like the name you gaveIOSG::SCMCM+ Development Team from TorinoWed Dec 02 1992 20:4110

    Norbert,

    I think it's even worse. If you cannot find a title in EOASSTES it's
    never been made available in the first place. Are you sure it was
    called like that?

    Ciao,

    It is very rare that Simon is wrong but this is one of those twice
    a year happenings (:==:)

    SPELLSHARE was an ASSET in the U.S as recently as July 1991 i'm
    surprised that it isn't listed in Europe as they're usually quite good
    about keeping dead products alive!

    I knew there was a reason I keep a folder called "Dead ASSETS"

    Andrew,

    I was only referring to the European Assets Library as I don't have any
    clues about US Assets ;-).

    Ciao,
