We are compiling the CMTXL and it is finding compilation errors in module X but module Y is OK. Then the CMTXL is installed using OA$TXL_INSTALL. Provided we don't use module X, is it OK to use module Y from this TXL? Basically, when we compile a TXL and it finds compilation errors, does that render the TXL totally unuseable even though we will not be calling the modules that resulted in the compilation errors? Thanks, Mario

Hi Mario, The TXL should be OK as long as you don't use module X. We don't install the TXL automatically if any errors are detected during a compilation as we prefer to leave it to the system manager to make an (intelligent) decision whether or not to proceed with the errors in situ. Most times the system manager will go and fix the offending module, but sometimes they won't. It's up to them. Tony |
