1868.0. "Cannot Archive in one users shared drawer" by KERNEL::SALMONJ (Jason Salmon) Fri Nov 27 1992 14:30

  Hello

I have a Customer who is trying to archive documents from a particular shared
  drawer.

  Gets the error message :
%oa-w-arc failopen failed to open output archived file filename

If he does GOLD W he gets -rms-e-cre acp file create failed

The Archiving document message is over written by failed to open archive area.

He can archive without any problems from his main drawer and from other
shared drawers just not ones that are owned by this one particular user.

Has anyone got any idea as to why this might be happening ?

I have even got him to create a new shared drawer with this user as owner and
  even this one is affected.

  Jason.

Disk problems like index file full and disk full spring to mind.
Can you archive SEVERAL documents for another user? What are
the usernames and disk names involved?

    Regards,

    Hello,
On further investigation it turns out that the user who owns the shared
drawer cannot archive from his main drawer, he cannot archive one
document at the moment let alone SEVERAL.
The User name and device names involved are :

    User name : Limitslive
    Device name: $1$dia1

    The disk quota is fine.

    Any ideas ?

    Jason.
