1857.0. "Return address set to PAPER MAIL, why???" by FORTY2::DHURI () Thu Nov 26 1992 11:12

I have a problem with ALL-IN-1 V3.0.

When I send a mail from ALL-IN-1 to A1MAIL the return address is set as

From: ARUN DHURI ("ARUNPAPER MAIL")

(ALL-IN-1 and A1MAIL are on different nodes, so message goes through MR)
Because of this recipient can't use Reply command to just reply to received
mail.

When I send a mail from ALL-IN-1 to VMSmail the return address in top "FROM"
is shown correctly. But in the content part "From" the same is seen within < >
as:-
From:	NAME: ARUN DHURI
	FUNC: EIS-EXPORTS
	TEL: 837-0333 <ARUNPAPER MAIL>

Here ARUN is my account name. Does anybody know the solution to this???

    Arun,

Looks like your DDS UA for ALL-IN-1 not set up properly.
    and mailbox part.

    Try within MBMAN>show dds ua /full /NAME=OA$<nodename>$ALLIN1

    Should look like:
    SHOW DDS UA /FULL /NAME=OA$SSOIOS$ALLIN1
            Name : OA$SSOIOS$ALLIN1
Master copy owning node : SSOIOS
            MHS/VMS address number : 1
                    MHS/VMS address part : SSOIOS
                    MHS mailbox : A1
                    MHS User identifier : MANAGER

    Try within ALL-IN-1 <GET OA$DDS_AREA_ROUTE
    Return something like: @A1@SSOIOS

If not, try something like this...

    WRITE CHANGE useragent commname = "OA$<node>$ALLIN1" ,-
          log$oa$mti_mailbx, mtanode2 = oa$primary_node

    Try the logical OA$MTI_AREA

should be something like "A1 at NODE"

    Cheers,

    Andy

    Re. 2,

No I'm sure Jan is right in .1. The logical OA$MTI_AREA isn't used to build
    OA$DDS_AREA_ROUTE.

1857.4Thanks a lotFORTY2::DHURIWed Dec 02 1992 07:049
    Thanks Jane!

I was in loop. I was modifying my (sub) DDS entries all the time.
Thanks a lot you broke the loop. I deleted the DDS UA entry for my
ALL-IN-1 and built it again. It works fine now.

    Thanks again.
