1849.0. "Tektronics Printer Driver?" by WKOL09::STETSON (Rick Stetson @WKO DTN 367-4038) Wed Nov 25 1992 08:18

If this is the wrong place to ask, please point me to the right place.

I have a customer who is considering a Tektronics Phaser III PXi color
printer. The unit is a color printer which is equipped with an
ethernet adapter and is PostScript capable.

Do we have a driver to support this printer from ALL-IN-1? Is anything
special required to print to this device from ALL-IN-1?

Yes, I'm an ALL-IN-1 user, but no guru by any means!

    All assistance appreciated in advance!

    THANKS!!

     Rick,

Depends on the wordprocessor the customer is using. For
WPS-PLUS, the WPS-PLUS conference is where it happens.

Printing to a Postscript printer on VMS is always done throught
DECprint Printing Services. Accepted input formats : ANSI as
    well as POSTscript.

WPS-PLUS 4.x is capable of generating Postscript output.
WPS-PLUS 3.x is not. But LN03 format as input for the ANSI
tranlator of DECprint enables users to use the printer.

As long as the printer is not specified in the SSA of ALL-IN-1,
    its not officially supported...

    Regards,
