1726.0. "Cannot invoke CM ,ALL-IN-1 V3.0 !" by KAOFS::R_OBAS () Thu Nov 05 1992 22:44

    Hello,

      I have a customer upgrade from 2.4 to v3, they had an SFCP asset in
    V2.4. Upgrade went fine until the system was re-booted. The ALL-IN-1
    account and other account cannot invoke CM, they get an error

      "error opening script file CM_INIT_ENVIRONMENT"

     gold W says,

      "RMS-F-DEV, error in device name, or inappropriate device type
       for operation"

     SFCP in not in the startup, it is not started anywhere. The workaround
     is to define OAX$SFCP to point anywhere and everybody can invoke CM.
     I removed OAX$SFCP from file search order but it still shows up in
     the list if you do <get oa$file_search_order.
     I also renamed the OAINI.SCP to .old and there is nothing in
    OAINI.COM.
     Where else is the OAX$SFCP installed ? How can I remove OAX$SFCP
     from the search list ?

     Thanks,
      Ricardo

    Ricardo,

    Are you really sure it's not getting started in A1V30_SITE_START.COM
    or somewhere? do you have any OAX$ logicals anywhere in your system
    table?

    Have a look at your OA$LIB logical in particular and also your
    OA$SITEmumble logicals and make sure OAX$ isn't in there anywhere

    regards,

1726.2Not defined unless we define it !KAOFS::R_OBASThu Nov 05 1992 23:169

     It's not defined anywhere and that's what make the problem a problem.
     We have to define it at system level/exec and point it to
     anywhere and everything works alright. If it is not defined then
     nobody can invoke CM.
